World Renowned Comic Book Retailer Rory Root Passes Away

I was informed on Monday Morning by several friends that world famous owner of Berkeley, CA’s Comic Relief Comic Book Store, Rory Root had passed away. I didn’t want to be the first one to talk about it out of respect, but now that the news of Root’s passing has been making the rounds in the comic book industry, I would like to extend my condolences to all the employees over at at Comic Relief both past and present and especially to my buddy, Todd who runs the store.

Comic Relief is one of the coolest comic book stores I’ve ever set foot in. It has a great atmosphere , likable employees (a rare thing for a comic book shop!) and is fun even for the non comic book minded person. If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, Comic Relief is THE comic book shop to visit!
